Web Site Pricing

The most common question asked about having a web site designed is "What is this going to cost me?" The answer that discourages some people is, "That depends..." It is kind of like building a house. It can be as simple or as grand as you want (or your budget can allow!)

Because all sites and businesses are different, I don't have a set price for every site. In order to design a web site that will produce results for your specific business, I take a look at your business as a whole and I also look ahead with you to the future to see where you want to be several years down the road.

I need to know what the future holds for your business so that we will be able to integrate future tools into the current design.

That being said and knowing that it helps to have at least a ballpark figure, you can use the following sample sites as a starting point.

Includes:

  • Initial consultation
  • Domain name registered and Hosting set up if needed
  • 2-3 Design mockups
  • Revisions to the mockups as needed
  • Site created from approved mockup
  • Content inserted into web site
  • Basic search engine optimization
  • Site uploaded to the server for public viewing
  • 1 month free maintenance

This is the basic site that most small businesses choose. Remember, you can always start small and grow your site as your business grows!

Includes:

  • Everything from the Basic Business Site
  • Set up Content Management System (CMS) on approved hosting account
  • Site template designed for use in the CMS
  • Setting up pages and inserting content into the site
  • 1 hour of hands on training to teach you how to use the CMS

With a CMS you can make changes to content, add pages, photos, etc. without waiting for me to make them for you. Access the control panel from any computer, anywhere!

 Includes:

  • Everything from the Content Management Site
  • Set up of Ecommerce software on the site and customized to match the layout and design of the web site.
  • Configure the storefront for use with the payment processor of your choice
  • Insert an initial 15 products into the storefront.
  • 1 hour training on how to use the Ecommerce software, how to add products, setting up shipping, etc.

* If you have fewer then 10 products to sell, you may not need a full ecommerce shopping cart set up. Inquire about other options.

I do not have set package pricing for the sites that I create. All work is charged at an hourly rate. After your initial consultation I will have you fill out a detailed Web Site Planner that will help both of us create a plan for your site. I will use the information provided to help me create a detailed estimate for your design project. A 33% retainer is required at the start of the project. Another 33% is due after the approval of the site design mockups. The balance of the estimate will be due before the site goes live plus or minus the balance of hours taken for the project.
